During the past 20 years, I’ve had the chance to get to know hundreds of physicians. I always love to find out what attracted them to medicine. There are a few reasons I hear over and over.
“I wanted to help people.”
“I wanted to make a difference in the world.”
“It’s something I felt like I was born to do.”
For many doctors, that inherent desire to serve can’t be confined to a single practice or even one country. Medical missions are a great way to offer care to those who need it most.
